About this USA Series 7 Exam practice test

The Series 7 exam (General Securities Representative Qualification Examination) is the FINRA license that lets you sell most types of securities: stocks, bonds, options, mutual funds, variable annuities and more. You take it after (or alongside) the SIE exam, and you need a sponsoring FINRA member firm.

How many questions can I take at once?

Choose 10, 25 or 50 questions (as the bank allows), or the entire question bank. You can also focus on a single topic to work on weak areas.

What is the difference between exam mode and practice mode?

Exam mode works like the real test: you answer everything and see your score and explanations at the end. Practice mode shows the correct answer and explanation right after each question.

Can I retry the questions I got wrong?

Yes. Your results page has a “Retry missed” button that builds a new test from only the questions you missed.
