In states using the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP), the written exam has 70 multiple-choice questions (10 unscored) with 90 minutes to finish. Topics include basic nursing skills, safety, infection control, residents’ rights, communication, personal care, mental health needs and the role of the nurse aide.
